Consequences of Colorism on Mental Health

Colorism affects mental health in a negative way. When I was in school, I was objectified to black color objects like pen, black board. After bearing of long term discrimination and racial attitudes of people, the mental of the victim is immensely affected.
The first outcoming of bullying is lack of self-confidence and worthiness. Other mental disorders include anxiety, depression and lack of sleep.
Discrimination on the basis of skin tone make someone to internalize colorism, now they don't feel confident about their own body and skin tone. They start using harmful chemicals to bleach out their skin. They try different brands and cosmetic treatments which ultimate affect their financial condition.
The only profiteer is the company who encourages inequality and raise their profit.
In United States darker-skinned black women have the most unemployment rate which cause depression and battling anxiety.
Self-esteem is the most affected thing as a result of colorism.
